dl320G5p win serv 2008x32

Hi,

What I've done:
* I downloaded the latest ISO of Windows Server 2008 from Microsoft's website ( * I burned this ISO on a DVD

am trying to install my new ML320G5p with Windows Server 2008 x32.

Server is equiped with 2*250 Gb SATA harddisk in a mirror. I configured this in the HP embedded SATA RAID bios.

When the setup of Windows 2008 launches, Windows of course doesn't find any harddisks.

However, still no solution: Windows 2008 doesn't want me to load the driver.

Any ideas what I could do??

the driver you have to use is this one:

HP Embedded G5 SATA RAID Controller Driver

it says W2003 but it works for W2008

try that one and let us know

I'm having the same issue with Windows Server 2008 x64 edition, however none of the supplied drivers work, as they need to be signed x64 versions which are not available.

I am now waiting for "some time in the future" to be able to use this server which is currently brand new and collecting dust.

For Windows Server 2003/2008 X32 you need the following driver:

Driver W2003 x32 bits -> to install W2008 x32 bits

That driver does not work with Windows Server 2008 x64 on a Proliant DL320G5p, which has been confirmed by HP Level 2 Technical Support who advised to 'wait for the driver to be release'.
