dl360-g7 password reset
Hi, I have one Proliant DL360 G7 Server. When I tried to enter the RAID configuration screen pressing F8 it asks for administrator password. But nobody knows it. I checked the service manual to reset it.The manual says to change the position of one DIMM switch (system maintenance switch, s6 ) to ON position. But there is not a single switch in the board. In the place where the manual says the NVRAM Switch is located , I could not find a switch, but the location looks like , a position for DIMM switch but void of it.
Please let me know how to reset the password in dl360 g7 that does not have a "system maintenance switch"
Thanks in advance.

Re: dl360-g7 password reset
Hi,
Refer to this link and check out the "System maintenance switch"
http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=emr_na-c02206928
You may also remove the CMOS Battery for few seconds and then insert it back, when the Server is switched OFF.
Thank You!

Re: dl360-g7 password reset
Hi,
I see that you are unable to locate the "system maintenance switch " on the system board.
I have attached the system board pictures for your reference which indicates the switch location.
You may also cross reference it with the Label on the inner portion of the Access panel.
Hope this helps.

Re: dl360-g7 password reset
Thank you friends for your help.. I located the switch and reset the password.
(Inside the access panel the switch position was marked wrongly near the 10gb sideband connector. :(
