dl360 - symptoms of bad PPM module?

I have tried my best to diagnose a serve rof mind.. with no luck. (see http://forums13.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=1297546 if you feel like reading ;) )

I was taking parts out to part out on ebay, and noticed a slight tarnish under one of the squared on the side opposite the heatsink. It kinda looks like the goo that comes out of a leaked capacitor.. not sure though.

Any idea what the symptoms of a bad PPM would be? I should have a pic soon..

Lyle,

If you have a PPM issue the SB has PPM fault LEDS and *should* detect issues. See the original thread. This isn't a PPM issue at this point. If you're parting out the server and don't want to continue troubleshooting it, then please close the other threads.

It looks like the PCI risers may be missing and therefore you won't get power to the rest of the system until INTERLOCK is resolved.

Best Regards,
