I have a combination of the above and everytime I book the dl380 g4 server it sees the p212 card but no tape autoloader detected. It also give me pci parity error and hangs. Is the p212 compatiable with dl380 g4? The g4 server has a pcie riser card in it. Thanks.

Solution
is that a 1/8 G2 autoloader?
if the p212 is compatible with a dl380 g4- see the quickspecs on http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/12028_div/12028_div.html.
The p212 is not compatible.
For the tape compatibility:
http://www.hp.com/products1/storage/compatibility/tapebackup/ISS/13-0003-1001.html#matrixtable
(no sas tape drives are supported on the dl380 g4)
Some more information in the 1/8 g2 quickspecs:
http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/12630_div/12630_div.HTML
the p212 is apparently recommended for g6 and g7 proliants.

Re: dl380 G4 + p212 sas controller + lto5 ultrium 3000 sas autoloader
Thanks for the info. It says not supported. Does that mean HP won't support it or they are just not compatible and won't work together?

Re: dl380 G4 + p212 sas controller + lto5 ultrium 3000 sas autoloader
It means that HP won't support it.
It may just mean that HP hasn't tested it.
