dl380 automatic power up

Hi
I have the following issue with my HP DL380 G3 server with W2K, no UPS.

The server is up and running, power is lost, after a while the power is restored the server automatically starts booting.
I want the server to be powered off, and power on the server myself.
Can this be configured in the RBSU?
I have been playing around with ASR, but this didn't give the me the desired result.

Thanks, Marcel

Re: dl380 automatic power up

What settings you have in power management tools, power on the restore timer xx:xx ??
By default System ROM will power up server when power restored

Re: dl380 automatic power up

I hav eno power management tools installed and if your response is correct my server wil automatically powerup when the power is restored.

Is it perhaps an idea to install power management software and configure to leave the server shut down?

Re: dl380 automatic power up

I was assuming that you can gave a shoot to try and set "keep server down", instead restores in 10 min or ... Once again SW and UPS should manage it

The auto power on is a setting of the ILO. You should make a connection to the ILO and change the setting. It is only visibel in web interface (not in the text interface).
