dl380 cdrom problem

I can not get the CD rom to work on a dl380 dual 933Mhz proc machine of 2001 vintage. The CD rom is the one with the eject button right of center and the LED to the left. Unfortunately all other servers around here that I could swap CDs with have a different one in them. Anyone have any suggestions?

Didn't believe it at first but it was a hardware problem, first cd I've seen fail.
