dl385 g2 upgrade to Quad core

we have a dl385 g2 with dual core, and want to upgrade them to quade core

i have run the latest firmware and ROM paq update.

we have new heatsinks and Voltage regulators.

bu as we replace the CPU's and boot, we only get the fans coming on all green lights but do not get any further than that no post.

any ideas? we have tried 4 CPU's and all the same issue. soon as we replace the old cpus it works fine

Check if knew CPU are compatible with your D, than check PPM.

cpu's are the upgrade kit (so i hope they are compatable or HP are lying) and the PMM is the new one suplied

What is the specification of the current dual core and the new quad core (speed and series)?

new cpus are 2356 2.3 GHz

old 2218 2.6GHz
