dl385 g6 power problem

hi all,

I have a server dl386 g6 with two power supply. For some reason in the data center, the server goes off with LED power supply color amber, health LED color red, beep continuously and system power LED color amber.

The ilo 2 log says:
Informational | iLO 2 | 08/05/2011 09:37 | 08/05/2011 09:37 | 1 | Server power removed
Caution | iLO 2 | 08/05/2011 09:37 | 08/05/2011 09:37 | 1 | Server reset

The IML log does not say anything for that time. Log in web ilo2 and power management, Virtual Power Button:
server is stand by with momentary press, press and hold, no appear cold boot and reset.

By the time he was only disconnected and reconnected power sources with this the server may restart normally.
Is there any explanation for this?

P.D.: sorry for my english...

Thanks

Re: dl385 g6 power problem

Hello,

so it looks like it's not doing so well.

How often does this happen?

Might be a PSU issue, you could try swapping them around - see if the problem follows the PSU.

Thanks for response.
Frequency is zero, it was a case in point. The PSU after the restart server function normally.
But I want that means all according to the information provided by the server. According to the manual would:

System insight display LED and color: Power supply (amber)
Internal health LED color: Red
Status: Only one power supply installed and power supply in standby.
* Power supply fault
* System board fault

System insight display LED and color: Power supply (amber).
Internal health LED color: Amber.
Status: Redundant power supply installed and only one power supply is functional.
* AC power cord not plugged into redundant power supply.
* Redundant power supply fault.

System insight display LED and color: Power supply (amber)
Internal health LED color: Amber
* Power supply mismatch at POST or power supply mismatch through hot add.

wich is internal health LED? is health LED?
