dl585 smartstart errors with 32GB

4 procs, 32GB, smartstart ver 7.4 (& 7.3) errors EVERY time with the full 32 GB installed. (8 GB per proc. in 2 GB dimms) Seems to work fine with 16 GB and 4 procs. Will error with 32GB and 2 procs. It won't error with 28GB but the video is just vertical lines. I have tested ALL the ram with the smartstart diagnostics (when using only 16GB at a time)and received no errors.

The usual error:
Error: Machine Exception 0000000000004 (this # varies) Bank 2 (this # varies) cpu 3 (this # varies) Kernel panic: cpu context corrupt.

Any help for me here? What should I try next? Thank you,

Typing "largemem" with 7.4 results in just freezing while the dots are accumulating. Typing "largemem" with 7.3 results in the following error:
cpu2: machine check exception 0000000000000004
Bank 2: b60000000002018 at 0000000000008789
Kernel panic: cpu context corrupt

I swapped cpu 2 and 4 and recieved this same error (with a slightly different # after the "bank 2:" part) I have ran diagnostics on all 4 procs (with only two installed at a time) I have moved ram and procs all over and I have replaced the motherboard and still get these same errors.

After moving one component at a time with an identical system, I was able to track this down to a bad memory slot on one of the processor cards. A new one has been ordered.
