enable ilo2
Server ML350G5.
Now we don't need Ilo2, so I had thought that I can use its connections as a second "normal" ethernet connection. After some tests, I think it's not possibile, can you confirm?
Now I have a small problem: I have disabled ilo, and now I not able to enable it again.
During boot I can read "integrated lights-out 2 is disabled. User the security override switch and ilo 2 f8 rom-based setup utility to enable lights-out functionality" but if I press F8 i enter in the E200i raid bios setup.
How can I enable it?
Thanks
Alessandro

Re: enable ilo2
hi,
the ilo2 ethernet slot is connected only to the management processor, you cannot use it as a "normal" ethernet.
the POST message refers to the override switch located on the system board. you probably have to enable the ilo2 first physically using this switch (refer to the maintenance guide or the user guide for exact location), then enable in the ilo2 bios.
best regards,
jf
