error installning msdn windows 2000 server
I??m about to install windows 2000 server on my DL380G3 using a copy of my MSDN windows 2000 disc. I??m also installning using smartstart.
everything seems to work fine until after the first reboot.
then it says: "bad command or filename" in a DOS prompt.
really dont know what to do.
any suggestions?

Have you set the BIOS to make the RAID the primary boot device? It sounds as if you are attempting to boot from a location other than the one that you just install 2000 on. THe error is that of DOS when a command is issue that does not reside on the current volume (drive letter) i.e. a floppy is in the floppy drive.

Hi,
my 5i controller is the primary boot device.also, when checking boot order it seems to be ok.
one thing that perhaps could help is that just before this error message a white screen is showed with the text "proliant essensial software".
