Please clarify, are we booting from the Smart Start CD through Virtual Media option ?
If yes then what is the status of the other utilities available in the manage option, ADU, IML etc. ?

Please also check & verify if any of the following two scenarios are applicable here : :
1. Server is up & running & you want to access the ACU utility.
If you can connect or ping your server remotely than
Please use the ipaddress of your server to remotely connect to your server.
No CD is required at laptop only IE 6 or higher or compatible browser is required at your laptop & Proliant Support Pack needs to be installed on Server.
e.g.:
https://your.server.ip.address:2381

2. The server is not having any OS & we want to configure the RAID using ACU then we need to use the ip address of the ilo on the laptop
e.g. :
https://your.server's ilo.ip.address
If you are using the Virtual Media option then you must be getting a option to connect to the virtual media, that needs to be configured to mount local CD ROM drive as the Server's CD ROM Drive

Please elaborate your question in the future for better understanding.

In fact, the problem is present without the OS.
=> I need to reinstall the server remotly.

I have only the CDROM of smartstartHP & Windows 2003. (locally)

when I need to launch the ACU , I've this error. (see the picture)

the other menu are ok...

The only solution (for the moment) is to have a cd into the server....

Please mention the details regarding your server, the ilo/rilo, SmartStart CD version etc.
