event id 1054 on a DL385

We purchase for a DL385 Cluster package with MSA 500. We are having some issue with the server communicating on the network and MS article indicate Nic card issue. We updated the Nic driver and firmware. We add a registry to disable media sense.
Event ID: 1054
Source: Userenv
Type: Error
Description:
Windows cannot obtain the domain controller name for your computer network. (The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted). Group Policy processing aborted.

Microsoft double check my DNS and DC. No other servers in our environment is having this issue. Microsoft say that it might be a hardware problem (HP NC7170 Dual Gigabit Server Adapter). Anyone run into this problem?

Re: event id 1054 on a DL385

I have seen event id 1054 entries associated with an AMD Opteron issue which is fixed by an AMD Technology Driver. Also seen with the 1054 are negative ping response times.

Here is the link. It is the third download from the bottom labeled "AMD Opteron├в ┬в Processor with AMD PowerNow!├в ┬в Technology Driver for Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 Version (x86 and x64 exe) 1.3.2.16":
http://www.amd.com/us-en/Processors/TechnicalResources/0,,30_182_871_9033,00.html

The AMD Technology driver corrects the negative ping response times and any other issues caused by inaccurate ping times (group policy application for example).

** Please note that the AMD Technology Driver should only be applied after the following hotfix from Microsoft:

We are experiencing the exact same problems and would like to install this AMD Opteron driver, but the link provided above to the MS hotfix is no longer valid. Does anyone have the current link?
