event log error - POST
people
i have a server at the other end of the country which has twice been reported as 'going all red and turning itself off' (i know...). the system appears quite happy otherwise. examining the event log yields event # 1092 - 'System Information Agent: POST error detected... post error 183'.
any ideas? has some little monkey been opening my server or something?

Re: event log error - POST
sounds like a drive or drive array failure but hard to tell from the info provided..can you be more specific? any errors? anything in event viewer?
We are here for a good time, not a long time!

Just that one event log entry... not much to go on, unfortunately. Can't find the event in any online docs, and we don't have manuals anywhere it would appear.
Other than this occasional reboot (apparently the message is displayed whilst booting, and apparently corrects itself next reboot)
We do have raid cards fitted, but i would imagine there'd be more in the event log if the array was failing.
