hard-drive upgrade HP Proliant DL580
I must replace a hdd on HP Proliant DL580.
I want to know if it support scsi ultra 320 hard drives. In manual says only about ultra2/ultra3 hard drives. thank you.

Hi Cristian,
DL580 should be compatible with the Ultra320 hard drives.
Refer this quick specs:
http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/10635_na/10635_na.html
The hard drive may tend to work in ultra2/ultra3 speeds.
So don't be surprised if the read/write performance is low!!!!

NOTE: All U320 Universal Hard Drives are backward compatible to U2 or U3 speeds. U320 drives require an optional U320 Smart Array Controller or U320 SCSI HBA to support U320 transfer rates.
