how to replace Raid Card battery - HP Smart array 6400 controller

 

Hello all,

 

I have Proliant ML570 G2 server & I need to replace Raid Card battery - HP Smart array 6400 controller.

 

 

Error Masage on screen

 

we have 146.5GB disks on Hardware Raid-5 & Os is Linux

 

" The RAID controller card is displaying message
"Array accelerator battries have either failed or need replacement"

Any one help me .

Power down the server, pull out the controller and replace both batteries.

The SA6402 is shown, batteries are (5) and behind (6).

Request  to you please update me do any  Risks on replacing 6400 RAID Card's Cache/battery, because server data is very critical,

 

please give me the step how to replace  the 6400 RAID Card's Caches battery ....

I can only repeat, shutdown the server, pull the controller and swap the batteries (both).
