hp DL320 G3 server w/HP 8 port SAS SATA RAID ctrlr

i got a dl320 g3 server....it has an add in card for hardware RAID...HA SAS 8 port....I am installing SLES9 Linux....I have downloaded the driver and put it onto floppy ...i goto install ...choose f6 as per instructions....it looks at the disk and states driver update ok ...then continues on ...when YAST comes up and starts to probe hardware devices ..it finds the controller but not the hard drives....i have 2 250GB SATA drives i want to config into a raid ! ....I have done this already from the controller config on bootup ....but SLES9 wont see the HDD's ....any ideas please ???thank you ...

Hi, dont know much about Linux. But this sounds more hardware to me.

If I were you I'd go in to the Array Manager for the card before you load the OS at POST, something like CTRL+A I'd imagine. See if you can see the disks at this point. If you can't see the disks upgrade the Controller Firmware / Server Bios etc and try again.

If you can see the disks at this point then it will be down to the Linux setup config, which I'm afriad I can't help you with. Taxi!
