hp-OpenIPMI failing

I have an ML350 G6 server running SLES 11 (x64).  I cannot get hp-health or hp-snmp-agents to run, apparently due to an issue with hp-OpenIPMI.

When I go to /opt/hp/hp-OpenIPMI and run check_install_kernel.sh, this is what comes up at the bottom of the output:

How can I get HP-OpenIPMI to run properly?

Thanks!

Re: hp-OpenIPMI failing

In the log for hp-health, it says:

BUILD ERROR: Build for KERNEL VERSION: 3.0.101-0.7.17-default LINUX_BUILD_DIR: /lib/modules/3.0.101-0.7.17-default/source FAILED
Failed to Build for the currently running kernel. Exiting...

Can not rebuild the hp-OpenIPMI drivers!
  See /var/log/hp-health/hpasmd.log for details.
See hp-OpenIPMI(4) and hpasm(4) for options.

Re: hp-OpenIPMI failing

Hi,

I recommend following the Installation Instructions and its Prerequisities.

The Linux kernel .config file must have IPMI support enabled for rebuilds.
If a previous version of the hp-OpenIPMI package has been installed, it must be removed before new package can be installed.

To remove the previous version and any packages dependent on it, enter the following:
# /etc/init.d/hp-snmp-agents stop
# /etc/init.d/hp-health stop
# rpm -e hp-OpenIPMI

To install hp-OpenIPMI RPM , enter the following:
# rpm -Uvh hp-OpenIPMI-<version>.rpm

Thank You!

Re: hp-OpenIPMI failing

Where do I check for the IPMI support at?  I'm looking at /boot/config-3.0.101-0.7.17-default, and am not sure what option(s) in there I am looking for.

Thanks.
