hp ProLiant DL 585 - Server shutdown problem
Our HP ProLiant DL585 server shutdowns frequently without any log messages. It's located in the servers room. There're many servers, they don't shutdown frequently. So I don't think it's a power failure. I have no idea to check it.
Server CPU:
AMD Opteron (tm) Processor 885
8 processors
Server Memory:
MemTotal: 57572404 kB
Please help

Re: hp ProLiant DL 585 - Server shutdown problem
You mean to say there is nothing in the Event logs ? Is there any specific time, when the server will shutdown ? Is the ASR enabled ?
Regards.

Re: hp ProLiant DL 585 - Server shutdown problem
It sounds like the server may be overheating.
Check that the power supply grills at the front of the server and the drive bay area are not blocked by debris or dust. These are the intakes for most of the cooling air. Use a small brush (paintbrush for example) to clear them if required. Confirm that all fans are working and ensure that the rear fans (exhaust outlet) are free from any debris/dust.
I hope this helps.

Re: hp ProLiant DL 585 - Server shutdown problem
Thank you very much for your replies.
The server doesn't reset, it shutdowns. Before the server shutdown occured Oracle Enterprise Manager had written the following log.
Host CPU was a bottleneck and the instance was consuming 0% of the host CPU. All wait times will be inflated by wait for CPU.
Do you have any idea to check it?
Thanks
