hp dl380 g5 create raid 1
hi,
i have a dl380 g5 server which has several harddisks. Some of them are not used in any raid at the moment.
The OS (W2k3) is installed at only ONE Harddisk (no raid, just one disk).
I want to run the Operating System using raid 1 (2 disks mirrored).
Is it possible to do that without reinstalling the OS; just adding a secound Harddisk to the first array and configure it as raid 1?
thanks.
greetings
Sven

Do you have a "first array" configured as the first disk?
And is it raid0?
What raid controller is it and does it have the BBWC option?
If yes then it is possible to add more disks to the existing array and do raid type migration.
