Windows Server 2000 is not certified for DL380 Gen8, and there's no driver stack made available.

As a workaround, though, you can use VMWare ESXi as an underlying hypervisor and run Windows Server 2000 within a virtual machine on the DL380 Gen8 platform.

Note that VMWare has announced that version 5.1 of their software will be the last version to support Windows 2000.

could you please suggest which hardware i can go for if i need OS as win2000 or if you have any link or list of h/w for which win2000 is certified?

Will DL784 will work?

HP doesn't certify any current available hardware with Windows 2000 as a baremetal OS. Hasn't been supported since G5 for most servers.

Here are some of the servers and the newest generations thereof that did:

DL360 G5
DL380 G5
DL385 G1
DL580 G4
DL585 G1
ML150 G3
ML350 G5
ML370 G5
ML570 G4

And, HP does not sell any of these older generation servers as new currently.  You would have to find it available refurbished or used.
