hp-health and ilo problems on Prolient ML350 Gen8 under Redhat 6.4
Hello,
I have an issue with one of our ML350 Gen8 under redhat 6.4 which is printing a big amount of error entries from hp-ilo as shown bellow :
May 30 10:37:20 alspsrg1 kernel: hpilo 0000:01:00.2: Open could not dequeue a packet

May 30 10:37:20 alspsrg1 kernel: hpilo 0000:01:00.2: Open could not dequeue a packet
the service hp-snmp-status is as bellow:
cmahealthd is dead... [FAILED]
cmastdeqd is dead... [FAILED]

cmasasd is stopped... [ OK ]
cmaidad is stopped... [ OK ]
cmaided is stopped... [ OK ]
cmascsid is stopped... [ OK ]
[root@alspsrg1 Mouzaouiw]# [FAILED]
Also hp-health service won't start because of that so hpasmcli command is also not working.
Is there a way to resolve this problem.

There is an other error in the /var/log/messages that may give ilo version. Here it is :
May 28 13:32:51 alspsrg1 hpasmlited[36453]: (check_ilo2): Error Code (1) "CPQCIDRV driver is not loaded."

Re: hp-health and ilo problems on Prolient ML350 Gen8 under Redhat 6.4
Hi again,
you may use HPONCFG on CLI and get ILO version.
You can also get the version via ILO web browser interface. After login, first screen somewhere in the middle, you will see the info.
Otherwise rebooting your system, it will be promted in the POST before the Raid Controller.
I believe the issue you are facing can be solved updating the ILO above 2.40. Time ago I had a customer facing same issues, after updating problem disappear, anyway, if I am not mistaken, there is a HP advisory that stands that there is nothing wrong with the server and the issue will go away after updating ILO.
Let me know,
thanks

Hi and thanks for your reply
Actually the ilo is not working; can't ping ilo interface and hponcfg is not working neither. Here is the output of hponcfg:

Hi
After installing update of ILO, the problem is still here. Update did not solve the issue.

Sorry to hear that,
In a previous message you said ILO was not working. What do you mean with that? Can you send me any screenshots?
Cheers,
