Re: hp proliant ml350e gen8- 1785-drive array not configured on post screen

Should it be configured or is it a new installation?

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Hi,

If the server isnt booting then the array or logical drives have been accidentally erased.

If the server is booting after this error then there is a Smart Array Controller installed but not used.

Thank You!

Re: hp proliant ml350e gen8- 1785-drive array not configured on post screen

Hello Ramarethinam,

This error message is followed by one of the following:

1. No Drives Detected
2. Drive positions appear to have changed тАУ Run Drive Array Advanced Diagnostics if previous positions are unknown. Then turn system power OFF and move drives to their original positions

Action to fix the issue:

1. Please check cable connections to be sure the drives are connected properly.

2. Also run ADU and check if previous positions are unknown. Then, turn the system power off and move the drives to their original positions.

3. To avoid data loss, update the controller firmware to the same or later version on the original
controller

Regards,

Renji V
