hpacucli:Adding logical drive in RAID0+1 with only one drive pluged

Hi all,
i have a problem on a DL360G4 under linux.I obtain cciss error messages when accessing the drive (most of errors are on the second logical drive):(error: cciss: cmd c372024c is reported invalid).

The Drives and motherboard have been changed, problem still remains.

Here is the configuration:
2x72,8Gb drives.
Raid 0+1 with 2 LogicalDrives.

I want to keep data on the first logicaldrive of the array.
We think the problem comes from the RAID, so i have deleted the second logicaldrive within SmartStart (the second physical drive have been removed to keep a backup of the current configuration).
From SmartStart it seems impossible to re-add a logicaldrive.
I have tried the hpacucli under linux and when i tried:
ctrl slot=0 create type=ld drives=all raid=0+1 size=max
or
ctrl slot=0 array A create type=ld raid=0+1 size=?

I obtain this message "Error: This operation is not supported with the current configuration."

So my questions are:
Is it possible to add a logical drive on Raid 0+1 with one disk unplugged ? (if it works ok, i will re-plug the second drives.)

Have you already encoutered the following error message: "error: cciss: cmd c372024c is reported invalid" ?

Greetings.

Hi,

I know its a long time ago, but did you find a solution? Cause it might be helpful to me, in my current situation.

But to add som info - you properbly couldnt do what you wanted, because the array was in "Interim recovery mode", and you are not able to do much in that condition.
