hpdiags webapp doesnt run

I have an RHEL 5.3 box with a current kernel (so psp can't be used) so I installed the hpasm and hpsmh rpm's manually. This works, but when I added the hpdiags rpm and tried to launch that webapp, I get the following error:

Fatal error: Call to a member function getAttribute() on a non-object in /opt/hp/hpsmh/data/htdocs/hpdiags/frontend2/includes/xmlbridge.5.php on line 129

Any ideas?
Thanks

Re: hpdiags webapp doesnt run

I am also seeing this with CentOS 5.3, x86. but if it happens with RHEL then there is a real issue, not just because its CentOS vs. RHEL.
Has anyone seen this or know a resolution?

Ritmo2k, have you fixed this in your installation?

Re: hpdiags webapp doesnt run

Also, I want to add that I was able to install using the psp-8.25.rhel5.i686.en.tar.gz file.

Re: hpdiags webapp doesnt run

Hi all,

maybe a little late, but I needed a survey and did some investigation. /opt/hp/hpdiags/hpdiags needs the libstdc++ compat libs. On centOS 5.x just run

yum install compat-libstdc++-33

cheers
