Re: hpqmgmt flooding event log

I'm also seeing the "Sensor 9b missing. Reading Flags = 40" on a DL180 G6 running Windows Server 2003 R2
HP replaced motherboard but didn't fix problem.

Re: hpqmgmt flooding event log

Same event 57 errors here on two DL180G6 Servers running Win2008 SP2 x64: "Sensor 9b missing. Reading Flags = 40"

I temporarily fixed this problem by deinstalling the hpqmgmt.sys driver.

Re: hpqmgmt flooding event log

wdoser, how did you disable the hpqmgmt driver?

Re: hpqmgmt flooding event log

Open the device manager and navigate to the system devices, there you will find an entry for "HP System Management driver". Right click on it and choose "deinstall", this will remove hpqmgmt.sys

Re: hpqmgmt flooding event log

Seems that this issue is currently under investigation by HP.

The Servers should have the following versions installed:

1.BIOS to the latest version - HP 2009.04.01 (15 Apr 2009).
2.Lights out firmware : 4.0.3b
3.Lights out 100 driver Version 1.0.0.0
4.HP insight Agents 8.22

Re: hpqmgmt flooding event log

Also getting sensor 9b entries in the log every 10 minutes. This is on a brand new DL180 G6, running windows 2003 r2 standard, and fully pacthed with the latest drivers.

Any news from HP with this one???

Re: hpqmgmt flooding event log

Ok, any of you guys out there with the error:

Sensor 11 is missing. Reading flags=40
Event ID 57 & Source HPQMGMT

should attempt to install this Bios release and monitor if the errors still show up, remember this requires a restart in order to work.

Hi Daniel,

I just applied this update to my ML150 G6. The errors are gone. Thank you for your response!
