hyperthreading in DL380 G5 server??

How do I identify what Xeon processor I have in my DL380??

We bought it this April 2007, I'd like to find out if/how I can enable hyperthreading in it.

It is a Xeon processor, I can't recall if it is a 5100-series or not.

I could not find anything in the BIOS about hyperthreading, and VMware is telling me that hyperthreading is enabled but not active and that I have to configure the BIOS...

Also see here:

Can I turn on hyperthreading or not in my DL380??

Thank you, TOM

I found this HP link about hyperthreading, but it does not mention DL380 G5 servers, so my question about hypethreading remains unanswered.

Thank you, Tom

Re: hyperthreading in DL380 G5 server??

Hi
Intel Xeon 51xx and 53xx series processors do not support hyperthreading. Xeon 50xx do.
