iLO5 no access via web and no ping
Dears,
Not able to access ILO5 2.10 via Web Viewer (it was working normally), No Ping to it.
I am able to acess it via HP Lights-Out Online Configuration Utility and using manual IP and Shared Network port (Enable LOM).
I have the latest SPP installed.
I have reset it and set to factory defaults (using the HP Lights-Out Online Configuration Utility) and restarted the Server unsuccessfully.

Re: iLO5 no access via web and no ping
Hi,
Please confirm / share the below :
1) Did you update SPP after which the issue started?
2) Or confirm when did the issue started
3) And Troubleshooting steps performed in order
4) Current status of the Server (Down / Up)
5) Direct connection to ILO (if possible)
Thank you
KSRAM

Re: iLO5 no access via web and no ping
Hi,
1) No, it was already updated to 2019.12
2) It started without any intervention
3) The problem was due to the USB-Network adapter created by ILO for using shared network port, it had an IP that was something like 15.1.16.2; I replaced the IP to have the same subnet as mine 192.168.2.x and I was therefore able to access iLO again.
4) Up
5) No

Re: iLO5 no access via web and no ping
Where exactly did you connect the LAN?
- dedicated LAN port
- shared NIC
- or even the ILO service (USB) port ?
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: iLO5 no access via web and no ping
This is one of the restrictions of a shared NIC, you cannot access ILO via the same NIC.
Try another PC, this should work.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: iLO5 no access via web and no ping
Hi,
Thank you.
We assume the issue is fixed after you replaced the IP to have the same subnet and you are able to access iLO again.?
Thank you
KSRAM
