info on add the new disk

Hi,
I have added 2 new disk (146 Gb) to my ProLiant DL380 G5. Now proliant server don't look the new disks. I must restart server with smart start disk to add the new disk at disk group exsistent?

The operating system will not see the space on those disks unless you add them to some RAID or create a new RAID on them.
Run ACU from the operating system to see if it detects disks and configure RAID and logical units.
You can also reboot and boot with SmartStart CD to do this.

Are you adding 2 New HDDs to the extisting set of HDDs in an Array

OR

Is it the first time installation of the 2 HDDs

Which OS ?

If Windows

Log in to ACU, Expand the array and extend logical drive or create a new logical drive.

Ok. I have added new disk in raid 5 array that have already 3 disks in raid 5.
Can I run ACU from only smart start or it's possible to run ACU also on the bios options?

Offline : Boot from the Smart start CD & Run ACU.

Use the document attached in my privious reply to add the drive to an existing array.
