installRHEL 4 in a ML110 G3

I am trying to install Redhat Enterprise Linux ES 4, in a ML110 G3 with controller SATA controller with RAID 1, using 2 hard disks SATA of 80GB.

However, once formed the RAID 1 by hardware, I began the installation of linux using the parameter â linux updates ddâ to take the installation so that it requests driver of the controller RAID by an external FDD USB.

Once loaded driver, at the time of making the partitioning of the HD it shows to the 2 hard disks physically installed and not it to me logical drive of the RAID.

What can be happening that does not recognize the logical volume of the raid?

I have already updated to last version the BIOS of the server, but I have not seen in the support pages any update of the RAID controller

No,

the last image of the driver available for this RAID controler for RHEL4 is adpahci-1.20.3858.0-1.rhel4.i686.dd. An floppy image in "dd" format.

In any case, I'l try to install with this floppy image.

Hmmm, surprising that RHEL4 U4 does'nt have the sata controller driver.

Really I don't know if the RHEL4 U4 does not have updated driver.

Also when attempt to install driver from HP, I don't see the logical drive of the RAID

Have you tried booting off the RHEL4 cd's without any driver diskettes?
Does it not see the raid?

Was the first that I tried.

Also appear the 2 installed HD physically.
