installing SCO 5.0.7 on Proliant 800

Problem installing Compaq Proliant 800 with SCO 5.0.7
Pentium 3 500 MHz w/640 MB
ATI RAGE IIC PCI Graphics
Drive Controller 32 Bit Compaq SMART 2/p Rev B Array Controller (IDA Firmware Rev 1.96)
IDE CDROM

EFS 5.66 readme.txt sec. 7.4
defbootstr disable=ida link=ida hd=ida0 Srom=wd(0,0,0)

I get error:
===================================
i386ld: Symbol pci_debug in /var/opt/K/SCO/link/1.1.1Hw/etc/conf/pack.d/cpqw/Driver.o is multiply defined. First defined in /var/opt/K/SCO/link/1.1.1Hw/etc/conf/pack.d/pci/Driver.o
Error: Can not link-edit unix
====================================
As an test attempt to overcome this, tried moving /cpqw/Driver.o to another temp place and system would now come up. But system will not shutdown properly using most shutdown techniques. It just hangs must be powered off.

Any ideas?

Re: installing SCO 5.0.7 on Proliant 800

After many tries I found this article on SCO KB

http://wdb1.sco.com/kb/tasearch.print?taid=125587

Known problem supposedly addressed in 507 MAintenance pack 2
