installing Windows 2000

What type of errors / problems can I expect when installing Windows
2000 on my 2500s? They are II - 333 mhz (x2) with 512 BB RAM,
Smart-2 array controllers. There were upgraded pro 200s. I seem to
not be able to get past the initial setup of the NOS.

Did you update the firmware to the latest version first? Did you then update System Configuration and run it to select Win2K as the OS (or NT 4.0 would do, but it's nice to be up to date enough to at least see Win2K listed)?

This is a "fresh" install of the OS from the SmartStart 4.8 CD. I have updated
all system ROMs available (SCSI, System, etc) from newly created diskettes.

Phil Y once said "boot the server with the Smartstart CDrom, and choose system erase. This wipes drive and cmos. Reboot and let the smartstart cd walk you through an assisted installaion"
