invalid msg

i recived a msg when i turned on this computer every day for 3mon. now. it is as follows: ivalid hardware; a device was found that is not compatable when creating a default process. this program will extit now.

i called hp they told me to remove the hp contol manager 1.1 wich i did. now the msg. is gone. is there any thing else i should do. to make sure that nothing is wrong with my computer.
