keyboard

I recently hookup a third party KMV (keyboard, mouse, and video) switch box. The other servers, Dell Poweredge, work O.K., but the proliant 7000 gives me keyboard errors on boot up. I also receive i8042prt errors in the System event log, event id 26 & 10. The keyboard and mouse lockup. Is there a way to disable the keyboard error?

Re: keyboard

Boot to your f10 partition, hit CTRL-A for advanced mode..choose the first menu option.. then choose the first menu option again..it will then say ?please wait loading configuration files? when it comes back from this choose review or modify hardware settings..then on the next menu choose view or edit details..scroll down the list to the advanced features section and in there you will find an option labeled plug and play keyboard...disable this option..it should work now
