lsi missing from post
The problem is that suddenly the message from this card in the server post is missing. The card is using an IRQ (seems to be detected by the bios).
The card does not appear in the OS.
The card does not work in other server.
Seems to be dead, but.... is there any thing to do??
Thanks

Re: lsi missing from post
If the controller still acts up, put it in your workstation and see if it posts.
If it does not, probably a bad controller. If under warranty, call LSI Logic they are good at RMAs.

Re: lsi missing from post
Install them in Windows 2003, go to device manager and rescan for hardware. Make sure you configure coercion algorithm to 1 GB on the LSI Logic RAID controller. If you disable it, fail over might not occur because the RAID arrays could be slightly larger than the spare. Even 8 KB larger will be an issue.
