manually power recycle on DL360 G3

during the installation of a DL360 G3, i'm having to manually power off the server and restart to continue the configuration process. on the several DL380's i have installed, this is performed by the server without any interaction by me.

Is there any settings in the BIOS stopping this from working or a switch setting on the mother board.

The machine is a dual 2.4GHZ P4 Xeon processor , 1GB Ram, 2x36 15K drives, only one psu.

I am not sure, but I have seen that one can change power settings via the embedded ILO.

Simon:

Is this server serial connected to a UPS?
Enjoy!

Re: manually power recycle on DL360 G3

usualy a reboot is made automaticaly, if the reboot do not take place, I suspect you have a corrupted installation (a service is waiting for a time out) or you have a hardware problem. Try ro erase config with the utility and reinstall using a different cd

this happens while using the smart start CD, or when you make a change in the BIOS.
