matching Logical drive with actual Windows drive
Hello,
I have a Proliant DL580 G4 with a P400 and P800 controller. The P400 is connected to the seven onboard/internal drives that are Hot swap. The P800 is connected to a MSA 50 with 4 146gb drives. All the drives are RAID 0. I need to figure out which logical drive is what drive in Windows. Or another way to put this: how do I verify which physical hard drive actually corresponds to my J:\ drive, G:\ drive, E:\ drive, etc...? I need to move some data around and mirror some drives. I want to make sure I mirror the correct drive so I don't delete the data off of it.
I have Array Configuration Utility & Array Diagnostic Utility installed on Windows Server 2003 Enterprise.
Thanks,
Tom

Re: matching Logical drive with actual Windows drive
check LUN number on MSA via ACU and on Windows disk Manager right click properties each volume and make the match with the one on the MSA.
