max. ram support with winnt 4.0

I have Compaq ML530 server, I had installed in that server 4GB Ram each 512MB, Now i am going to installed
Winnt 4.0 after copying all temp file when it restart automatically and run first time setup it gives crash dump.I had check all memory module, all module working perfectly ( if i am checking all these independtly in same server) if i am removing two slot of 512mb means 3GB ram then server setup is working perfectly,but if again i am putting 4gb ram in same server after installing the server then againg it shows crash dump
pl tell me status for this problem as immediate as possible

Known "quirk" to NT on MANY systems... It's best to install NT with far less RAM installed. Add the RAM in later and adjust the pagefile if needed.

also try installing NT4 Enterprise, and check tecnet for max amount of memory for NT4, this will give you a registry change for accepting 4Gb ram.
