memory upgrade ml 370 800Mhz
I've made a memory upgrade to a ML370 800Mhz (2x 512MB), and when i install it my sbs200 does not startup. It returns a memory error.
I think then dimm's are ok because the server detects them. Should i make any software or firmware update?
Thanks!

Re: memory upgrade ml 370 800Mhz
Make sure memory is HP certified for that server and not 3rd party; also latest firmware for the server.
- and once you add this memory go to F10 and update the SCU for the Change as this is not automatic on that server.
-if you don't have the F10 partion installed; can try sp19619.exe.
Note: make sure you are not using 3rd party memory.

Re: memory upgrade ml 370 800Mhz
I've installed the new dimm's (2x 512Mb) with the 256Mb (2x 128Mb) already installed.
the system detect them OK. after that i've updated the scu no problem!
And then when my Win200 server starts it return the following error:
Invalid Boot.ini
Booting from c:\winnt
ntdetect failed
if i remove the dimm's it start ok!
Please Help me!!

Re: memory upgrade ml 370 800Mhz
Pull the RAM and boot into windows, then check your Boot.ini file and make sure you do not have a "/maxmem=number" statement in there. If so, increase it or remove it entirely if you can.
