ml 350p g8 - fan noise troubleshoot

hello,

I just done a new setup to my ml350p g8 , with windows 2012 r2 and the last spp (july 15), update bios and frimware.

My only probleme is since i setup the last update, the fan just go up and down every two minutes. As the server is inside of an office that is realy annoying.

If i check the HP Insight Diagnostics tools no error apears. Do i need to change something inside the bios or have you any clew of an other solution. (exepct moving the server)

Hi,

Once we had this issue and got it fixed by downgrading the network adapter firmware.

If your server has HP Ethernet 1GB 4-port 331T Adapter, then try downgrading to firmware version 4.0.1.13 (30 Mar 2015), it should resolve the fan noise issue.

Please note, this is only if your server has HP Ethernet 1GB 4-port 331T Adapter.
