ml110 g5 mobo change

I have a ml110 g5 server with four sata disks in raid1 configuration (two volumes) using the embedded sata controller. Motherboard is gone. I have ordered a replacement motherboard. My question is how to reimplement the raid configuration on the new motherboard. I have a spare ml110 g5 in my office and I have made several tests wiht some other random disks with no luck

Thanks

Re: ml110 g5 mobo change

AFAIR you need to go into BIOS and set the controller mode to RAID mode.

Example:

Hope this helps!

Re: ml110 g5 mobo change

Thank you for your reply. I did so on the test machine but when I select the disks and create the array in the raid configuration utility I loose data. I need to reimplement the raid configuration on the new mobo without reinitialising the disks

Re: ml110 g5 mobo change

Just switch to raid mode and boot. This should work. Don't create a new RAID!

Hope this helps!
