ml350 g4p server LED amber


hello ,
I am facing a problem on ML350 g4p server.

When we start server, it behave normaly.but after few hours server internal health LED turned to amber. when we opened the cover we find out that one LED on mohterboard behind PCI express slot is also amber. In ML350 g4p docs purpose of this LED is not indicated. what should we do to troublshoute this?
Server is using RHEL4 .

Hi,

Are you absolutely sure it's an amber led behind the PCI Express slot? Could it be the amber led for the rear fan or behind the PPM2 slot instead?

If you don't have a second CPU or PPM installed but the PPM2 led is amber then the problem is caused by the power supply backplane. (See attached image).

If required, the PSU backplane part number is 390548-001. Rear fan assembly is 367637-001.

You might want to check the service and maintence guide just to make sure your describing the correct Led.

As it could also be the Threshold exeeded led ( NR 8 )
