ml350 g5 + RAID 6 + firmware upgrades
I noticed my g5 has no support for raid 6. is that correct or can i get updases for that?
Also, i have no os installed. is it somehow possible to get firmware upgrades for the server?

Raid 6 would require a slotted RAID controller. P400 with cache or P600 would be needed for RAID 6.

Firmware DVD download from support page. Just be careful. I used it and took out many server boards and FC2142SR fiber cards in a ML350 G5 Make sure you have a full backup first.
I would upgrade to D21 BIOS and latest ILO2.

You can get a Firmware ISO CD build.
Firmware - CD-ROM
Firmware 8.3
You download it. Burn it to a CD or use the USB Bootable tool to create a bootable thumb drive.
