ml370 G2 exchange HD from SCSI to SATA

how can i upgrade my SCSI 6x drive cage with an SATA Drive cage for at least 4x 3,5" HD?

Sorry, ML370 G2 only supports SCSI disks. Check the server Quickspecs: http://h18002.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/10901_div/10901_div.HTML

SATA and SAS disks were added on the ML370 G4.

can i exchange the internal SCSI drive cage with an 6x LFF SATA Backplane they are mech. fits into the ML370 G2?

Well, maybe you can try ML370 G4 SAS cage, but I cannot tell if it will fit.

Another problem is that there are no SAS/SATA controllers supported on this server.

this is an SFF Cage, can you tell me the Parts number for the LFF Cage please?

Please understand that what you're trying to do is not possible. The ML370 G2 does not support SATA disks, the design was finished before enterprise class SATA disk were available. Maybe you can cut and paste parts from other models, but there's no way to predict what will work and for how long.

i have an 3rd party SATA Controller, i will try the ontroller before i order the drives/cage :-) I hope it will work.
