ml370 boot problem

I have a proliant ml370 gen 5 that i had to power down to move the server and now it will not boot.

I have tried to clear the cmos with dip switch #6 on and all i get when it boots is all solid green lights, fans on high, and a long repeating beep.

with dip switch off the server power cycles, begining with all green lights, then a red flashing internal health light, and an amber temp light.

any help would be welcome.

Re: ml370 boot problem

Hi,

In such no boot scenarios, we need to follow the basic troubleshooting.

Try stripping down the server to minimum required hardware i.e. single processor, one memory module, no power connections to the optical drive and HDD backplane. Check with each memory module and after that by swapping processor. If there is any hardware error, order the replacement for it.

For the error messages and beep codes, please check https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=emr_na-c01702138#N12880.
