ml370 scsi drive replacement
I have a RAID 5 array that has 1 bad drive in it. I cannot find where I can create the drive configuration diskettes needed to remove this bad drive from my array? I do not have the Compaq system CD that came with the server. Thx, in advance for any help..

Re: ml370 scsi drive replacement
You didn't mention which OS you are using. I too found it difficult to find the disk array utility disks. I normally use the SnartStart CD, but recently had a machine that wouldn't boot from the CD. I found the disk array configuration utility for Windows on the Compaq site and use it with total success with all our PRs. here's the URL http://h18013.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/14185.html

Re: ml370 scsi drive replacement
How is it that you know it is bad with out some software? Anyway, if you know the bad drive, remove it and replace it with the machine on SHOULD initiate a Rebuild of the array automatically (do not disturb during this process). You may get no indication that this is happening except hard drive accesss.
Otherwise you can issue a rebuild from the Firmware also at POST.
