monitor disks on Proliant ML350G3
Hi,
I have a Proliant ML350G3 with Windows 2003 installed. There is a disk for the system and three disk using raid 5. there is no Compaq/HP sotfware installed on that machine.
I want to monitor the 3 disks in the RAID 5 array, what software must i installed to see them from windows 2003 ?
Thank you.
Philippe Pachot

Re: monitor disks on Proliant ML350G3
You need the HP Array Configuration Utility it shows you a graphical view of the array and the hard drives in there you can also configure the array
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=316537&prodNameId=3279705&swEnvOID=1005&swLang=8&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=MTX-33372a4a39a944d2bd879e51af
and the Array diagnostic will help you to diagnose the array:

Re: monitor disks on Proliant ML350G3
If you had loaded the system using SmartStart or the Rapid Deployment Pack, the ProLiant Support Pack would have been automatically installed. Visit http://www.hp.com --> Support and Drivers and follow down the options and retrieve the ProLiant Support Pack for your system and OS.
The Array Configuration Utility is part of the PSP, but it is not the component you would use for monitoring. The System Management Homepage will display system status of all of the subsystems (including storage) and has the ability to alert back to systems like HP SIM or other SNMP or WBEM management stations.
