Re: moving server safely
I suppose your Dl380 g4 is a SAS model right?
if so yes that can be done but you need to power off both servers and have the latest firmware for the controllers on both
what I think you need to be very careful since playing around with a RAID 0 it is not a good idea even I would a backup before any procedure

Re: moving server safely
As Karlo says, as far as the RAID controllers are concerned, they should detect and configure the RAID array for you, but is this going to be the system disk in the dl580? If so, you may have to tweak the OS a bit to get it to work propoerly in the 580. Not sure on this though.

Re: moving server safely
hello,
no it is scsi u320 10K hdd model and G4. for 580 it is G3.
what do you think still can be done safely?
i just want to know whether this can be done and seocndly if its not working, can i put back the hdd in order back to original server?
just curious about pulling out 3 disk from raid-0 as afraid it might break the data array or something i dont know.
help me pls..
thanks
