need help installing SCO 5.0.5 on ml350 G4

hello,
I need some help installing SCO 5.0.5 on ml350 G4.
I got the OSS604a boot disk. I also have the EFS disks. I'm using the following bootdef

:bootdefstr link=clad hd=Sdsk Srom=wd(0,0,0,0)

I got this from SCO TA#111072.

It's not working. It gets past the boot disk, but when it asks for the btld disk for compaq it says it's the wrong disk.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks,
Oskar

Wish i could help with this, but i haven't touched SCO for 8 years. I'm surprised the ML350 G4 supports it. I don't remember my ML370 G3's that are older than yours supporting SCO.

If I remember correctly, the link=clad is wrong. When using a SmartArray it should be link=ciss
But this is years ago...

For all the poor slobs out there who have to support SCO on these servers (myself included)!!

Please read the README file!
It explains exactly what to put for link depending on what model disk controller the server has. It is very well written, very clear and easy to understand. Once I read this I saw which model controller my server had so I knew then what to do with link=

PLEASE READ THE README FILES!!

Hope this helps someone.
