we have several hp proliant DL380, in cases of power failure when the power is restored the servers are all powered on automatically which is not what we want.
in RBSU i disabled ASR and automatic power on (Server availability)but still when power is restored the servers come on automatically.
How can i fix this to what i want?

Re: need to disable automatic power on

No he means the iLO homepage, which, if the IP address on the iLO port has not been changed, will be 192.168.1.1
Username and password will be on a tag attached to the server, or on a sticker on top of the server.

Re: need to disable automatic power on

Hi ramiathp,
They are referring to Integrated Lights Out (ilo) feature.
It is a remote management feature on DL380 servers.
It works like a seperate PC in your system
It needs to be configured before first usage.
A normal Ethernet cable will be used to connect to it.
You will find its RJ45 port on the server rear side.
You will also found a Tag on the server rear side which would be having the default Username, Password & DNS name.
There is no default IP Address on DL380 Servers as it is set to accept the Dyanamic IP from DHCP.
If DHCP is present in your network then you can access the ILO through its name from any System through supported Web Browser (IE6 or greater or equilent browser)

That was the brief information about ILO to get you started
